cozy winter days

I've developed a strong love towards all things furry in the past weeks, especially the ones that I can actually wear out in public without looking like an idiot! (unlike my panda onesies...etc).

Nothing is better than cozy up in a " teddy suit" in a winter day in my opinion! And this Zara one from last winter is definitely a favorite in my collection.

we are back with some black and lots of navy

I think that was the longest time I've ever been away from my blog. The weather had gotten the best of me! I have had one of the worst flu and I was completely useless against it!

Now the temperature  had dropped to nearly zero degrees with the feel of minus 5, so a substantial coat and some form of faux fur is a definite must to keep alive and walking!

Both the maxi coat and the faux fur scarf are my inquiries from last year, and both from Zara of course. The fit and the feel from both items are perfection and will be used and abused till the end of time I reckon.

the statement coat

This winter is all about the big cozy statement coats for me. From bright colors to loud prints, I wanna have them all. This hound tooth one was the first to add to this years collection. The length, fit, print and best of all, the Primark price tag, it was calling out my name the second I laid my eyes on it, and I knew I had to have it.

post summer pleated look

You may say " pleated skirt?! that was so summer 2014!" and you might be completely on point, but without the flashy colors and eye catching prints, this black maxi one is somewhat weather appropriate I hope?

Casj it up with a cropped Monki jumper and toughed it up with my trusty Tommy biker jacket. Nothing groundbreaking clearly, but right up my alley nonetheless!

fall is here, ready or not

I'm not one that blindly follows the trend. I truly believe, trendy or not, as long as the garments of your choice suits your body type and somewhat not too restricting, then you've got a winner in your hands. Now that being said, I've got to admit all this hype over the mom /boyfriend / or whatnot jeans really got me curious. And I couldn't restrict myself but to pick up a pair of baggy, beat-up denim bottom of my own.

Still not quite convince if they're a winner for me, and that mostly because I am TINY! And these boxy baggy pants kinda swallowed me up completely. But paired with some heeled boots, they're some what forgiving. But boy, aren't they comfortable! Brought out one of my favorite jackets from last year and it fitted as beautifully as I remembered.

What's your favorite fall trend/pieces? I'd love to hear about it!

is it finally big enough?!

I love hats, especially big floppy ones. And the bigger my collection gets, the bigger the hats get! There must be some darn weird logic behind it all (or isn't there?!).

I've acquired this number (biggest in my collection so far!) just in time for the fall. It's not a secret that it rains a lot here in the Netherlands this time of the year, and that means out of control frizzy hair (think about a bad hair day, but every freaking day!). And that's where hats like this come in handy. It's the ultimate quick fix, not to mention it doubles up as a mini umbrella and keeps the rain drops from running down your face and washing away that perfect cat eye that you spent your whole damn morning on!

closet stables

Wearing all my closet stables today with a couple of new bits that I picked up recently. One is the reversible large shopper from Zara, and the other is my new black booties from Mango. I was on a haunt for the perfect shopper for the longest time! Ordered the Alexander Wang prisma tote a while ago and hoped that'd finally be the one. But returned it upon receiving.( The quality was not as amazing as the price tag would suggest!)  So glad I've done that when I run into this simple beauty in Zara for a much wallet friendlier price tag. Score!

A girl can never have too many black ankle boots, am I right? These Mango ones are the new addition to my ever growing collection. Do expect these on high rotation here on in the coming months!

high waisted shorts

The summer has returned to the Lowlands for a brief moment, and I jumped on the chance of rocking out a new pair of cutout shorts for the last time this year. These ones are from Pieces and slightly high -waisted.

I'm not one that normally drawn to high waisted bottoms, pants or shorts. But these stretchy black shorts really hugs my bum in all the right way and extremely comfortable and that is a definite winner in my book!

comfort loving

Yes, I'm fully aware the fact these damn Nike Roshe Runs are on high rotations this month. But I intend to fully take advantage of this sneakers trend while it still lasts before getting back to those needle thin, sky high, blood filled heels. Can you really blame me?

when midi meets crop

I guess it's no longer a secret that I do love a bodyhugging midi skirt and the summer favorite crop tops. So this get-up was only a matter of time...

the good old asymmetric skirt

Thought it's about time to take a little break from all the midi length skirts/dresses that's been on extreme high rotation on the blog lately. So go short or go home right?! picked this asymmetric A line skirt before my trip to Paris (wow, it really feels like ages ago now!) and was obsessed with pairing it with crop tops and chunky platform boots all through the summer.  (Hello inner 90's grungy child!) But I opted for a simple mustard sweater and stripy heels for a more grown up look.

connect the dots

Finally got a chance to show you one of my favorite sale purchases this summer! Meet the backless, bodycon, midi length, polka dots dress from Zara. (Damn, what a mouthful!)

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm a big fan of the midi length dress/skirt at the moment. There is just something ultra sexy about not actually showing much skin above the ankles!

And of course, no one appreciate the backless feature on a garment more than I do! Do I need to say more?!

in the wild

I'm all about midi length skirts/dresses these days if you ask me. Something outrageously chic and feminine about them just makes me wanting more and more.

Got this slightly structured one from Topshop (on sale!) and kept it classy with a simple button down. Seriously in need of a loose fit crispy white shirt to go with it as well, so any suggestions?
