the good old asymmetric skirt

Thought it's about time to take a little break from all the midi length skirts/dresses that's been on extreme high rotation on the blog lately. So go short or go home right?! picked this asymmetric A line skirt before my trip to Paris (wow, it really feels like ages ago now!) and was obsessed with pairing it with crop tops and chunky platform boots all through the summer.  (Hello inner 90's grungy child!) But I opted for a simple mustard sweater and stripy heels for a more grown up look.

connect the dots

Finally got a chance to show you one of my favorite sale purchases this summer! Meet the backless, bodycon, midi length, polka dots dress from Zara. (Damn, what a mouthful!)

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm a big fan of the midi length dress/skirt at the moment. There is just something ultra sexy about not actually showing much skin above the ankles!

And of course, no one appreciate the backless feature on a garment more than I do! Do I need to say more?!

in the wild

I'm all about midi length skirts/dresses these days if you ask me. Something outrageously chic and feminine about them just makes me wanting more and more.

Got this slightly structured one from Topshop (on sale!) and kept it classy with a simple button down. Seriously in need of a loose fit crispy white shirt to go with it as well, so any suggestions?

in my natural habitat

Despite the fact that I nearly strangled myself with my own pitiful hair in the most ridiculous wind that I've encountered this year, it was somewhat a fun photoshoot! And I'm absolutely over the moon with the final result!

Shamelessly wearing the most ridiculously comfy garments from head to toe. Intend to fully take advantage of the normcore and sportsluxe trends while they still linger in the blogosphere..

Golden hour in Amsterdam

NDSM in Amsterdam north has became one of the most popular spots for fashion bloggers to take their outfits photos these couple of years! Why? It's one of the hippest areas with lots of artists' workshops, cool and organic restaurants and amazing industrial looking hangout spots! I actually work right behind the Brooklyn hotel, but somehow never managed to take photos here before. Odd!

I've just recently started to warm up to the sport lux trend. About million years late on the bandwagon, I know. But ever since I started long distance biking on a daily basis, I'm all about comfortable, bikable clothing! I believe you've met my favorite footwear in my previous posts, these Nike Rocharuns are obsolute Godsend! They are light and airy, remarkably comfortable. And the color adds just a right amount of pop to my otherwise very monochrome outfit.

The bf took this photo on the ferry back, what a breathe taking view!

My theater play, Fokker Fokker!

Don't believe I've ever mentioned here, (however if you follow me on facebook you'd have more chances of knowing what I've been up to! So click on facebook page, and follow me now!) but I was in a theater play called Fokker Fokker in June. Since it was quite a success, we are back for 3 more nights in Amsterdam Badhuis Theater from today! So if you're in town and up for some theater fun, then come and see us!

The play is a clean adaptation of Boeing Boeing By Marc Camoletti.

Set in contemporary Paris, bachelor Bernard has his hands full with not one, but three sexy international fiancées.

Life is going well for Bernard, with his trusty housekeeper Bertha by his side. That is until his three fiancées, who all happen to be stewardesses, (I'm playing Gaby, the Chinese stewardess!) are switched to different airplanes and his childhood friend Robert comes to town.

Is Bernard still able to keep his three fiancées from finding out? And can Robert keep his mouth shut? Come watch the corky comedy Fokker Fokker and find out!

Me and the other two stewardesses will be Leidsplein, Amsterdam promoting the play this afternoon at 16:00. Be sure to drop by and say hi if you're in town!

Amsterdam gay pride and blogger meet up

Last weekend was truly the most FABULOUS time of the year! It was the Amsterdam Gay Pride weekend!  People had gathered from all over the world to celebrate their sexuality openly (and "barely", see below photo as an example!)

I've met up with a few fun, adorable fellow bloggers and enjoyed the parade by the Amsterdam canal! I wanna give a quick shout out to Virgit (, Wendy ( and Charlotte ( and other beautiful bloggers I've met on this day!

festival outfit

Typically I'd never wear a crop top with a mini skirt. There are just waaay too much exposed skin in my opinion. However, when it comes to festival outfits, all rules are out of the window and everything goes!

Totally in love with this particular crop number from Mango that I picked up just before the summer really hit the Netherlands, and just in time for the festival season! I paired it with this super soft, body hugging mini skirt from H&M that I got almost a million years ago. And of course no festival outfit is complete with my Dr. Martins in my opinion!

The Dutch band "Chef Special" was pretty awesome! It's not my usual cup of tea, but it's uber groovy for the summer time.

Thought I throw in a windmill backdrop for good measure.
