Amsterdam Fashion Week Day 7 - Bas Kosters

The Bas Kosters show was nothing but incredibly mesmerizing and a total visual power house! No really, what a show it was!

Bas Kosters took the stage (literately) and presented his SS15 collection - " Permanent State of Confusion, Phase 1"

According to the designer, the collection was inspired at this time where the economic crisis leaves its mark on our lives which makes it difficult to make up your mind on which route to take. The garments were made by overstocked archive materials and leftovers to make a statement against the consumer society!

Amsterdam Fashion Week Day 7 - Aziz Bekkaoui

Good morning to the fashionable Amsterdam, and all the beautiful people in it!!
The stunning canal filled city has never been this chic and fabulous! And of course that's all due to the Annual Fashion Week that's happening right here right now.

I've got the luxury to attend Aziz Bekkaoui show and witness the new collection first hand yesterday. And absolutely loved the major monochromatic prints throughout!

Stay tuned for more Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Amsterdam coverage on the blog!

Amsterdam Fashion Week Opening

I've always wanted to go to the Amsterdam Fashion week. So when the opportunity came knocking on my door, I jumped on the bandwagen right away!

The opening party was at Melkweg, right in the heart of Amsterdam and it was fun, glorious, and of course fashionable! Fashion videos were projected on the walls all around, beautifully accompanied by the music. And my favorite part? The editorial fashion photo booth, with garments, accessories and props provided! What?!

Can't wait to check out the catwalks the next few days. Don't forget to check back for more photos during the fashion week!

On Tienanmen Square

Anything less than a maxi coat and gigantic scarf combo would guarantee a slow death by cold during the winter in Beijing, in my opinion. Obviously that's not the case, but it didn't stop me from sporting this uninformative look throughout my stay there.

Sorry for the high rotation of (nearly all) garments featured in this post, but when you love something...right? Oh wait, picked up these white sneakers from Zara a day before my departure to the far east. Loved them, especially with this maxi coat and scarf combo.

bundled up in Beijing

Happy New Year's everyone!! Got a bit of oriental back drop on my blog today as you can see. I've just returned from a Christmas/New Year's trip from Beijing. The weather was actually good during my entire stay there with clear sky and not a rain drop throughout. But again I guess that's what winter weather should be in my most of the countries. Sorry, after spending a decade in the Netherlands you start to loose the sense of weather normalities!

I've been completely bundled up during my stay there since it was crispy cold and slightly windy most days. As you can see, I brought my trusty Tommy Hilfiger blanket scarf that I've been adore for a long time and my new love, the Primark coat. They did a good job at keeping my warm!
